At JNTUH Calculator, our mission is simple: to help students accurately calculate their SGPA, CGPA, and academic percentage with ease. As students ourselves, we know the struggles of manually converting credits, calculating grades, and interpreting results downloaded from JNTUH’s official portals. This tool aims to remove that frustration and provide instant clarity.

👨‍💻 Who We Are

We are final-year students from JNTU Hyderabad, passionate about technology and academics. We created this platform after realizing that many of our classmates were facing confusion and errors while manually calculating their CGPA — especially when dealing with backlogs, labs, or skipped subjects. What started as a side project quickly became a full-scale academic tool.

🔧 Why We Built This Tool

Most students at JNTUH rely on PDFs for their result records. However, calculating SGPA or CGPA from those PDFs isn't straightforward. There are credits, grades, backlogs, and a lack of uniform formats. We built this tool using JavaScript and PDF.js to extract and interpret PDF content automatically — offering accurate and fast results in a user-friendly interface.

⚙️ How It Works

Once a student uploads their downloaded PDF result, our system parses the text, identifies subjects, credits, and grades, and performs real-time calculations. We ensure accuracy by following JNTUH’s official grade conversion system. The tool also handles edge cases like “Absent” grades or backlogs.
